According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, Durant has no desire to join the Minnesota Timberwolves.
"I'm told Kevin Durant has no desire to be in Minnesota with the Timberwolves," Charania stated on ESPN's SportsCenter.
Charania also reaffirmed that Durant’s preferred destinations remain the Miami Heat, Houston Rockets, and San Antonio Spurs — even as Minnesota was recently viewed as a serious contender to land the former MVP.
"Suns focus over the last several days has been on Miami Heat, Houston Rockets and the Minnesota Timberwolves, we know his preferred destinations are the Rockets, Spurs and the Heat," he noted.
The 36-year-old Durant has one year remaining on his contract and is set to earn $54.7 million next season.
Despite his age, he remains one of the league’s most dominant offensive players, averaging 26.6 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game last season.
