It can be difficult to follow all the threads of every single transfer target and rumour, so The Northern Echo has put them all in one place.
Here's a round-up of all the transfer news and rumours linked to the Magpies in the last week:
**Joao Pedro**
[Newcastle United](http://www.thenorthernecho.co.uk/sport/football/newcastle) are interested in Brighton forward Joao Pedro.
The club wants clarity on Pedro's intentions before making a formal bid.
Discussions between the two clubs started on Monday, as per The Telegraph.

Manchester City showed interest in the 22-year-old, but Eddie Howe wants to keep the versatile full-back.
The Echo reporter Dom Shaw said: "Newcastle certainly have no intentions of allowing Livramento to be playing for anybody else next season."

Newcastle will keep an eye on Jack Grealish's situation at Manchester City, however, the England international is not a priority target at this stage.
The recruitment team will consider a move if the terms are favourable.

Newcastle face strong competition from Arsenal for the signature of Marc Guehi.
Guehi was the club's top defensive target last summer, but negotiations failed.
The England international has one year left on his Crystal Palace contract and the FA Cup winners are resigned to the fact they will have to accept a bid far lower than the £70m they quoted last year.

Newcastle were confident of landing long-term target James Trafford this summer after re-opening talks with Burnley.
However, the fee for the goalkeeper is seen as prohibitive at this stage, according to reports.

**Anthony Elanga**
_(Image: Nick Potts/PA)_ Having missed out on Bryan Mbeumo, the Magpies have set their sights on Nottingham Forest's Elanga as well as Brighton's Pedro.
However, Forest are 'digging in their heels' and will not part with the winger for anything less than £50m.
Newcastle's recruitment team have alternative options in Brighton’s Joao Pedro and Bournemouth’s Antoine Semenyo.
