Today has been yet another resourceful day for Barcelona, as far as their pursuit of Nico Williams is concerned.
While it was reported yesterday that voices within the Barcelona camp were unsure about Nico’s signing, it appears the forward has impressed Joan Laporta with his determination to play for the club.
This has led to reports that suggest Nico has overtaken Luis Diaz to become Barcelona’s top attacking target this summer.
Nico to land in Barcelona tomorrow
Now, in what could be a big development, Victor Navarro reports some Barcelona players have informed top club executives that they expect Nico Williams to be in the city tomorrow.
This is a significant development considering the fact that Nico’s agent has already spoken to Barcelona sporting director Deco multiple times.

The two have had fruitful discussions, with the Athletic Club winger more than keen on playing for Barça.
Pressure on Joan Laporta
With Nico set to arrive in Barcelona tomorrow, the pressure will be on club president Joan Laporta.
It has been reported earlier that Laporta was not an avid supporter of the Nico deal, even though he has reportedly changed his mind lately.
Navarro suggests Laporta and Deco are now studying the feasibility of the Nico deal – something they were not even considering a few days ago.
With growing calls within the Barcelona dressing room to sign Nico, the pressure will be on the top brass to make the move happen and, most importantly, ensure that the player’s registration can be completed should Barcelona trigger his release clause.
Tomorrow indeed could prove to be a crucial day for Barcelona as they look to make solid ground in the race to sign one of Spain’s most prized talents.
