Reportedly, the main reason for that is the offers the Suns are receiving from the teams actively trying to pursue KD are not pleasing them enough.
According to ESPN’s Brian Windhorst, the Suns have yet to receive an offer that truly excites them.
"From what I understand, the three teams on Durant's list — Miami (Heat), San Antonio (Spurs), and Houston (Rockets) — have not made offers that have gotten the Phoenix Suns excited to this point," Windhorst said on ESPN's Get Up show.
Windhorst also provided some teams that might be sleepers to acquire KD, including the most aggressive team in these trade talks, which is also the favorite to land the Suns star.
"Minnesota (Timberwolves) was aggressive at mid-season, and Minnesota, from what I understand, has been the most aggressive team in these trade talks," Windhorst noted.
"I do think Toronto (Raptors) is lurking right there," he said. "Toronto is making the No. 9 pick in this draft available, in addition to some players in multiple different scenarios, and I think the LA Clippers are lurking there as well."
"But if I had to put the favorite, I definitely think it’s Minnesota, who has been the most aggressive," he concluded.
