**West Ham are not closing in on any deal for Dominic Calvert-Lewin, it’s been reported by ExWHUEmployee.**
The transfer window re-opened today, as the club continue to work to strengthen the squad ahead of the 2025/26 season.
It’s been reported amongst many in the media in recent days that the club had identified the former Everton forward as a target for Graham Potters side this summer.
This has also been aligned with further news that Calum Wilson is also a name the club are considering, however our club insider Ex has advised that these reports are not correct.
“I have spoken to sources at the club regarding the reports that we are keen on both Calvert-Lewin and Wilson,” stated Ex on The West Ham Way Patreon.
“It had even been suggested in some reports that a deal for Calvert-Lewin was progressing with the club in contact with the player.
“Firstly I understand the player is away in the US and not currently working on securing a new club. And I have been advised that we are in fact not keen on signing him or Wilson too.
“Although the club recognise they are both talented and proven players, they are injury prone and it’s something we want to avoid.
“Now of course things can change if we became desperate at the last minute, but as of now, there is no interest in these players.
“The club are working on deals and have stressed that fans should remain patient and judge business by the end of the window, with many becoming frustrated at what appears to be a slow start to proceedings.”
