Manchester United’s list of former midfielder grows by the year as players leave the club during different point of a season. Some of these midfielder go on to do amazing things which can be most recently seen through Scott McTominay whose efforts in helping Napoli win Serie A saw him being honoured with a shrine in Naples as well as cementing his first in Napoli folklore for decades to come.

However, some moves turn out to be negative too with players who leave Manchester United often going on to fall down a slope and end up playing football in the lower leagues.

However, for former Manchester United midfielder Ethan Galbraith, the only way seems up. Following his graduation from the world famous Manchester United youth academy setup, the 24 year old has primarily played his football in the lower end of the EFL with spells at Doncaster Rovers and Salford City in 2021 and 2022.

The midfielder then went onto sign for Leyton Orient where he has made 78 appearances across 2 seasons. During his spell with the O’s, Galbraith has also been able to score on 10 occasions.

Now, it has been reported by the Belfast Telegraph that Leyton Orient have rejected a bid of £1.5 million for the United youth academy graduate from Charlton Athletic, who beat Leyton Orient in the EFL League One Play-Off Final last month.

The midfielder is also an international for Northern Ireland having come up through their youth system before making his senior debut in 2019 at just 18 years old.

Wherever the 24 year old goes, his immense talent arguably will shine through and present opportunities to the midfielder that he may have never experienced before. Once again, the Manchester United youth academy system looks to have made a high potential youngster into one of English football’s most shining stars.
