It is only a matter of time before we see Milos Kerkez officially donning the Liverpool shirt.

Liverpool’s interest in the Hungarian defender is well documented, and there has been no shortage of updates for weeks now.

The 21-year-old enjoyed a remarkable campaign with Bournemouth and was a key part of the team that almost snatched a place in Europe.

According to several reports, Liverpool has agreed to sign him, and he is set to be announced in a couple of days, pending the completion of a medical.

His father has now all but confirmed the reports.

“It’s only Liverpool for us and we’re not going anywhere else and we won’t talk to other clubs,” Kerkez’s father told Super Indirektno kod Popa i Milana on YouTube.

“Everything is done between us (personal terms) we just need to sort out some details, but it’s basically a done deal.

“We made that decision. Richard Hughes signed Milos for Bournemouth, and that’s a man who keeps his promises, and if he said to us “we’re going to India, we’ll go to him to India”

Kerkez’s father is not the only one in the player’s family who has openly acknowledged that the defender is Anfield-bound.

The 21-year-old’s brother has also publicly acknowledged that Kerkez is going to be a Liverpool player.

Over the weekend, Marko Kerkez, the younger brother of the Bournemouth left-back, reposted an image from Serbian outlet Crno Bele Novosti.

The image featured a line that read:

“Milos Kerkez, soon to be a new Liverpool footballer, has revealed which club he supports.”

Liverpool fans will now hope that the deal for Kerkez is completed sooner rather than later, as excitement is at a fever pitch.
