49ers' George Kittle Proclaims Offense Needs to Play at a 'Really High Level' in 2025

The San Francisco 49ers have tweaked the roster a bit after a disappointing 6-11 season and last-place finish in the NFC West.

The vast majority of the changes were on defense, although the offense will look slightly different too.

Do the 49ers have a potent enough offense to rebound in 2025 and make another Super Bowl run? One would like to think.

According to George Kittle, that scenario could exist if the offense. plays at a high level next season and the players who are expected to play well do.

“I think what our goal is—is our offense needs to play at a really high level,” Kittle said. “We brought back basically everybody, which is pretty fun. And when you have Christian McCaffrey, Brock Purdy, Trent Williams, it makes me pretty excited to play football; I will say that. You can throw me in there, too, with Kyle Juszczyk. We’re decent as well.”

Kittle also squashed any narrative that Brock Purdy didn't deserve his new $260 million contract, and believes he's one of those names that needs to play at a high level next year.

"I would say, I don't know what his winning percentage is, but when you win a lot of games and then two years you go to the NFC championship or better, I think that's decent," Kittle said during a recent appearance on the Rich Eisen Show. "One of my favorite things about Purdy is that everyone calls him the checkdown merchant, and then the last two years he's had the least amount of checkdowns in the NFL as a starting quarterback. So I think he's doing pretty well."
