The Chicago Bears have a lot of hope for their offense this season. It feels like everything is coming together for the first time in ages. They found their quarterback last year, drafting Caleb Williams #1 overall. This year, they rebuilt the offensive line to provide better protection. Most importantly, they seem to have found the head coach who is best equipped to develop a young quarterback in Ben Johnson. If things coalesce as they should, this group can put up some serious numbers in 2025.
What nobody knows is who will stand out the most in Johnson’s new attack. ESPN released its latest projections for the 2025 season from analytics expert Mike Clay. He calculates the Bears will accomplish something that has only happened twice in franchise history.
They will have two wide receivers crack 1,000 yards.
D.J. Moore will finish with 1,064 while Rome Odunze adds 1,012. The first duo to accomplish that feat was Curtis Conway and Jeff Graham in 1995. They were primarily responsible for Erik Kramer’s single-season passing records. Then, 18 years later, Brandon Marshall and Alshon Jeffery became the second pairing to do it.

The Chicago Bears will make believers out of people if this happens.
Everybody knows offense is what has held this team back for years. Whenever it becomes good on those rare occasions, wins usually follow. Having two 1,000-yard receivers in the same season means opponents couldn’t find solutions to their passing attack. Clay also projects a promising rookie campaign from tight end Colston Loveland, going for 662 yards and five touchdowns. More importantly, the number of sacks allowed drops from 68 to 43, indicating Williams gets better protection. Whether this spike in production leads to wins remains to be seen. One thing is clear. The Bears won’t be as easy to deal with as they were last season. Stopping an opponent that is mostly about defense is doable. When they can also score? Everything gets tougher.
