COLUMBIA, S.C. (WCIV) — South Carolina's Collin Murray-Boyles, a sophomore forward, will have a seat at the heart of the NBA Draft action later this month.
According to ESPN draft analyst Jonathan Givony, Murray-Boyles was invited to the green room for the NBA Draft on June 25 in New York.
Nineteen players have been invited so far, with five more expected to receive invitations, Givony said.
Each year, the league invites several of the draft’s top prospects to attend the event in person.
Murray-Boyles is ranked the No. 14 best player in the 2025 NBA Draft, according to ESPN's big board.

The Columbia native announced in April that he was heading to the NBA after averaging 16.8 points and 8.3 rebounds for the Gamecocks. His play earned him a second-team All-SEC selection.
Though his play earned him NBA buzz, he has remained a polarizing player among NBA Draft analysts.
"Analytics-heavy teams are intrigued by how well he rates in their draft models, thanks to his unique blend of passing, free-throw drawing, finishing prowess and defensive event creation, especially at his age," Givony writes in a May 30 assessment. "Others are concerned about his lack of size and 3-point shooting prowess, as well as the fact his Gamecocks team struggled in SEC play, being overmatched in terms of talent."
Murray-Boyles attended A.C. Flora High School in Forest Acres, South Carolina, where he was named the Class 4A Player of the Year as a junior after helping Flora reach the state championship while averaging 18.3 points, 11.4 rebounds and 5.3 blocks.
He transferred to Wasatch Academy in Mount Pleasant, Utah, for his senior season and posted a team-leading average of 15.0 points and 8.8 rebounds per game.
