Arsenal are considering multiple options for all of the positions they want to strengthen after deals for Martin Zubimendi and Kepa Arrizabalaga. The Spanish duo are expected to arrive in north London relatively soon to add depth in midfield and between the sticks.
Further forward, Viktor Gyokeres, Benjamin Sesko, Rodrygo and Nico Williams are the other names strongly linked to bolstering Mikel Arteta's ranks with a fairly significant financial package needed for all four.
Final decisions on the targets to actively pursue are in the process of being made with sporting director Andrea Berta working hard to keep Arsenal in the race for numerous players. Fresh updates on Gyokeres and Williams have since emerged.
With that being said, football.london has taken a look at the latest Arsenal transfer news and rumours now that the summer window is back open.
Gyokeres twist
Arsenal look to have temporarily shelved their pursuit of Gyokeres following Sporting CP's fresh demands, it has been claimed by Portuguese outlet Record.
Further reports have stated that interest in Ollie Watkins could be reignited this summer. Alongside Sesko and Gyokeres, a move is also being weighed up for the Aston Villa star.
football.london says: "B ecause of how chaotic the transfer window can be, it makes complete sense for Arsenal to be ready to formalise multiple deals.
"Watkins' potential availability, due to Villa not qualifying for the Champions League, and experience in England's top-flight makes him a more than suitable alternative. Gyokeres and Sesko will likely cost a bit more but there is an obvious reason for that.
"Given the change to what had become the former's asking price, Arsenal reassessing their options is perfectly normal with it equally clear they have not entirely left the race."
Williams greenlight
According to Sky Sports Germany's Florian Plettenberg, Barcelona are leading Arsenal and Bayern Munich in the transfer race for Nico Williams
Their report states that Barca club president Joan Laporta is in the process of seeing if a transfer is feasible and if it is, the green light is expected to be given with Hansi Flick determined to sign him.
It has also been claimed in Spain, through Sport, and via Sport Witness, that Arsenal are 'bidding hard' for him and are offering £7.7million (€9m) as a salary which works out at just under £150,000-per-week.
football.london says: "Arsenal could hold an unlikely advantage in the race for Williams given they can offer him more than both Athletic Club and Barcelona if that is the offer they are prepared to submit.
"The latter appears to be his dream move though and it would also take some effort to convince him a move away from his boyhood club and Spain is the best option. Arteta has alternatives and with Bayern also pushing, they are better off going for players that give their priority to Arsenal.
"Rodrygo, Jamie Gittens, Anthony Elanga and Ademola Lookman are just some of those that could be pursued instead with the Gunners in need of that marquee addition out wide."
