Local artist helps paint War Memorial field ahead of LA Rams ‘MauiCamp’

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The field at Maui’s War Memorial Stadium is now fit for an NFL team thanks to a Native Hawaiian, Hilo-born artist.

Aaron Kai said the LA Rams asked him to help paint the practice field for their time on Maui this week.

The design features the classic LA Rams logo with an ocean wave instead of the usual ram horn.

The team arrived in Maui on Monday and will be holding an offseason minicamp and several community events through Wednesday.
