Nottingham Forest are going to be going in search of a number of new players before the summer transfer window closes in September.
The Reds are being linked with stars left, right and centre, and it’s likely that the club will be active before things grind to a halt.
Forest are set to sign Igor Jesus. He will link up with the Reds after the Club World Cup, with Jesus scoring against Seattle Sounders on Sunday evening.
Jesus’ teammate Jair Cunha is also coming to Forest, while the club are also keen to do a deal for left-back Cuiabano ahead of Brighton.
Forwards will likely be the main priority this window, and now there is another one to add to the long list of transfer targets for Forest.

Nottingham Forest want Malick Fofana
According to L’Equipe, Forest are one of the Premier League clubs that have reached out to the representatives of Fofana in recent weeks.
However, it’s thought that Chelsea lead the race, with Premier League champions Liverpool also keen on landing the young Belgian.
Fofana made 41 appearances for Lyon in all competitions last season, bagging 11 goals and registering six assists for the team.
MORE FOREST STORIES
The 20-year-old is considered a wonderkid given the vast amount of potential he has and he normally operates on the left wing.
Fofana loses possession less than Callum Hudson-Odoi
Given that he plays on the left side of the attack, it’s hard not to try and look at the similarities between him and Hudson-Odoi when it comes to Forest.
The 24-year-old has been brilliant for the Reds, with Forest paying just £3 million to sign Hudson-Odoi back in the summer of 2023.
Squawka shows that although Hudson-Odoi completes more successful dribbles than Fofana, he does lose possession more than the one-time Belgian international.
Hudson-Odoi’s dribbling stats are far more polished than Fofana’s, and it does feel clear that signing the youngster this summer would see him eyed as one for the future.
Lyon have tied Fofana to a contract until 2028 and although the Ligue 1 outfit aren’t actively looking to sell, their financial situation could alter the landscape this summer.
