Liverpool are weighing up a permanent immediate exit for long-serving full-back Andy Robertson, sources have told Football Insider.
The Scotland international has attracted interest from Spanish club Atletico Madrid, fuelling rumours of an Anfield departure.
Sources have confirmed to Football Insider that when Bournemouth star Milos Kerkez completes his imminent transfer from Bournemouth, he will be the first-choice left-back at Liverpool next season.
Robertson has one year left on his current contract and there have been talks between club and player regarding a new deal.
However, if Diego Simeone’s side make a tempting offer, then Liverpool could be inclined to cash in on the 31-year-old rather than hand him a costly new deal.

Robertson’s Liverpool future in the balance
Robertson made the switch to Liverpool back in 2017, moving from Hull City for a fee believed to be around the £8million mark.

During his time on Merseyside, the full-back has far exceeded that price tag, winning two Premier League medals and one Champions League with the club.
Last season, Robertson started 29 out of a potential 38 league games, as Arne Slot’s side secured the title with four games still remaining.
The Scot saw his form dip slightly throughout the final few months of the campaign, showing signs that his ability may be on the decline.
With Kerkez effectively coming in as his replacement, the defender may decide that his time at Anfield is up.

Liverpool could see Konate leave
Meanwhile, Football Insider exclusively revealed that Ibrahima Konate could leave Liverpool in the coming weeks as contract talks between player and club face potential collapse.
Liverpool want to resolve the France international’s future this summer, as he only has 12 months left to run on his current deal.
The Merseyside club are desperate for a resolution as soon as possible and will not wait until January for a decision – as the 26-year-old will then be able to sign a pre-contract agreement with foreign sides.
Konate is still viewed as a key player at Liverpool and they are expected to advance contract negotiations in the upcoming weeks and months – with a final deadline set for the end of this summer window.
