View: 8/10 player almost certain for exit if Bayern sign 22y/o Chelsea star

Along with adding new attackers to their ranks, Bayern Munich also need to address their defensive areas.

The German champions have three right-backs in their ranks, and they are still looking to reshuffle the pack.

According to Simon Phillips, Bayern have made an approach to sign Chelsea right-back Malo Gusto in the summer window.

The Bundesliga champions have contacted Chelsea to enquire about Gusto’s availability.

What should surprise Chelsea fans is that the Blues are willing to offload the Frenchman if the right offer comes in.

The 22-year-old has produced some strong displays since moving to Stamford Bridge, but he could drop down the pecking order at the club if Reece James stays fit.

Gusto is arguably one of the most successful signings for Chelsea in recent times, and his best years are yet to come.

Bayern will need to pay a handsome transfer fee to sign him.

If Gusto arrives, it will be all over for Sacha Boey

If Bayern manage to sign Gusto, then it won’t be too hard to guess that Sacha Boey will definitely leave the club.

Bayern have Josip Stanisic, Konrad Laimer and Boey as three right-backs, and it’s a kind of luxury.

Boey joined Bayern in the January window of 2024 from Turkish club Galatasaray, but the move didn’t work out for him.

He is seen as a major flop, and chances are high that Bayern will sell him in the summer.

Boey impressed in the opening game for Bayern against Auckland City, scoring one goal. He produced an 8/10 performance and will look to impress Vincent Kompany in future games.

Christian Falk informed CFBayern that Galatasaray want to re-sign their former player on loan with an option to buy. However, Bayern want to sell him permanently.

If they manage to land the Chelsea defender, clearly they will have to sell one right-back, and Boey is most likely to be offloaded.
