New forwards will likely be the order of the day for Nottingham Forest when it comes to the transfer window.
The Reds are looking for competition for Chris Wood and Taiwo Awoniyi next season, with more strength in depth required for the UEFA Conference League campaign.
Igor Jesus will sign for Forest after the Club World Cup. He scored in Botafogo’s first game against Seattle Sounders earlier this week and at 24, he looks a useful addition to the squad.
Out wide, it’s been claimed that Malick Fofana is wanted by Forest, although Chelsea and Liverpool are very close to the player’s representatives and that could throw a spanner in the works.
Still, forwards are definitely going to be sought this summer and now, a new name appears to be doing the rounds.

Nottingham Forest want Romulo
According to UOL, the striker is set to leave Goztepe in Turkey this summer, with clubs in much better leagues now vying to sign him, including Forest.
The Reds are in the mix to sign the player who scored 17 goals and claimed 10 assists during 2024/25, with Wolves hanging around and RB Leipzig thought to be in pole position.
A Brazilian 23-year-old, Romulo, is on the radar of Forest after a very impressive season in Turkey, where his 27 goal contributions helped the club achieve an eighth-place finish.

The youngster was signed from Athletico Paranaense, where he’d only managed to bag 10 goals from 81 appearances in his home country.
His form in Turkey, however, has prompted some clubs into life and it remains to be seen whether the Premier League ends up being his next destination when he departs Goztepe this summer.
New striker signing could be bad news for Taiwo Awoniyi
It’s fair to say that without Awoniyi in the maiden campaign back in the Premier League, Forest might have made a quick return to the EFL.
However, last season he was kept on the fringes by an in-form Wood and his chances of playing next season if another striker arrives feel very slim indeed.
With Jesus set to join the club and another striker seemingly on the cards, it feels for all the world as though Awoniyi might be on borrowed time at the City Ground.
Forest will fight on four fronts next season with European nights on the cards but Awoniyi will want to play regularly, and it’s unlikely he will be doing that any time soon on Trentside.
