The list of players that are reported to be linked with a move to Manchester United is growing by the day as Ruben Amorim and his recruitment team work together to try and build the best possible squad ahead of the 2025-26 season.

This is a season in which United will be hoping to improve on their 15th place finish last season and push towards the European places at the top end of the table whilst also performing well in the domestic scene to give the Old Trafford faithful a taste of the success that Ruben Amorim can bring to Manchester United.

Now, a new name has been linked with United in the form of current Olympique Lyonnais winger Malick Fofana who played 29 matches during the course of the 2024-25 Ligue 1 season.

Manchester United have been reported by lequipe to be interested in the services of the winger who could follow former Lyon player Rayan Cherki to the Premier League following Cherki’s move to local rivals Manchester City just a few days ago.

During the 2024-25 season, Fofana was also able to score 5 goals whilst assisting on a further 4 occasions which has attracted interest from a number of clubs who are looking to sign players this summer including Chelsea and Liverpool alongside United meaning that the battle to sign the 20 year old will be tough.

Lyon are also reported to be wanting more than 50 million euros for the Belgian which is close to the £62.5 million that Manchester United paid for Matheus Cunha and even close to the valuation of Bryan Mbuemo.

At just 20 years old, the winger also holds an immense amount of potential although can be seen to be under-developed in some areas such as in his tackling abilities.

Would you want to see Fofana sign for Manchester United or would you rather he go somewhere else?
