Ruben Amorim told what Man Utd ace can pull off next season, prediction speaks volumes about player’s three traits

Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has been told that one first-team player could have a major impact for the Red Devils in the 2025-26 campaign at Old Trafford.

Ruben Amorim’s men ended their lacklustre 2024-25 season in May and Manchester United could only manage to finish 15th in the Premier League table.

The Red Devils’ form fell off a cliff last season and United manager Amorim was unable to see United turn results back in their favour in the league campaign.

United’s woes were further piled on after the Red Devils failed to ensure their place in any European club competition for the 2025-26 season at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils were in touching distance of securing Champions League football after United managed to reach the 2025 Europa League final in Spain.

However, United lost 1-0 to Tottenham at the San Mames Stadium in May and Spurs punched their ticket back to the Champions League for next season.

What Matheus Cunha is tipped to do for Man Utd manager Ruben Amorim at Old Trafford in the 2025-26 Premier League season

Manchester United are tipped to have a busy summer transfer window ahead of the new Premier League season under Ruben Amorim at Old Trafford.

Amorim is expected to clear out his United first-team squad and the 40-year-old former Sporting CP manager will welcome new signings to the Premier League club.

The Red Devils head coach has already received a major boost with United’s signing of Matheus Cunha from Wolves for a £62.5m transfer fee earlier this month.

Matheus Cunha impressed United fans during his international duty with Brazil this summer and the 26-year-old attacker is tipped to play a key role for Amorim.

Former United player Kleberson has now predicted that United are “going to be scoring well” next season thanks to the role of fellow Brazilian Cunha next season.

Speaking to The Daily Mirror, he said: “It’s a big signing for Man United. I really enjoy watching Cunha play.

“He starts to play in my town in Coritiba. I really enjoyed watching his game against Paraguay. It was the first time I watched him this close.

“He does a little bit more close movement, a lot of runs without the ball, diagonal moves. It’s a big signing. I think United are going to be scoring well with him.”

Man Utd manager Ruben Amorim receives a clear-cut message about what he must do in the 2025-26 Premier League campaign

Matheus Cunha inked a five-year deal with United in June and Amorim is believed to be a big admirer of the Brazil international’s ability for his tactical system at the club.

The Brazilian forward scored an impressive 17 times in 36 matches across all competitions for former Premier League side Wolves in the 2024-25 campaign.

Kleberson has also spoken about Amorim and the 45-year-old United flop thinks that it is “really important” for the Red Devils boss to start the new season off strong.

“I think United trusts a good coach,” he told The Independent.

“Now he has a good manager. He gets the team in the middle of the season; it is not easy to find the team to play the way he wants.

“I talk to Manchester United fans, a lot are upset about the team. The beginning of the season is really important for United now, they don’t play a tournament like [the Champions League].

“They can focus on the beginning of the season. They can make it good like pre-season.

“They can find perfect signings for the club and try to build a good team for 2026.”

United took part in a post-season tour of Asia in May and the Red Devils will now begin their pre-season campaign under Amorim in July.
