Cole Palmer showed he knows a thing or two about luxury watches as Chelsea headed Stateside.

The 23-year-old is in the US with the Blues as they began their Club World Cup campaign with a 2-0 win against LAFC on Monday night. But what caught the eye in the build-up was the midfielder’s limited edition watch he was snapped wearing on the flight over the Atlantic.

Palmer was pictured on his phone with his watch facing the camera. It’s been discovered that the England star was sporting a £220,000 Richard Mille RM 07-4, which is said to be inspired by Italy’s luxury car brands.

The lightweight titanium watch has a green strap that matches the outer green layer around the face, with the rest of the design following a black, white and red colour scheme, which is also a nod to the tricolour of the Italian flag.

Palmer is reportedly on £130,000-a-week at Stamford Bridge, explaining how he’s able to shell out on the luxury watch.

The former Manchester City product scored 15 goals and registered 12 assists in 46 games in all competitions last season. While his output didn’t live up to the 42 goal involvements he notched last year, Palmer’s form will still be key to Chelsea’s success in the tournament.

Chelsea flew to Philadelphia on Friday to begin their preparations, with their opening match seeing the Blues get off to a comfortable start against LAFC in Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

Pedro Neto struck in the 34th minute to put Chelsea ahead before Enzo Fernandez made sure of the result as he netted their second with 11 minutes to go.
