Manchester United are aiming to raid the Bundesliga this summer with the club being linked to multiple players in Germany and now one of them has broken his silence on a potential move.
The main player being linked to Man Utd from Germany right now is Hugo Ekitike, the £85 million striker at Eintracht Frankfurt.
United pivoted to him after striking out on Liam Delap and Viktor Gyokeres making his Arsenal preference clear to the club.
However, Ekitike is not the only Frankfurt star linked to Man Utd. While a double deal might be out of the picture (a deal for Ekitike looks complicated as it is!), United have been linked to another player at Frankfurt.

Frankfurt’s Kaua Santos responds to transfer speculation
The striker search has taken up much of Man Utd’s time, especially after being locked in negotiations for Bryan Mbeumo for nearly two weeks now.
However, nobody at Old Trafford will mistake the window for being over even if they sign a striker, as another position that is uncertain is between the sticks.
Andre Onana recently refused to confirm his Man Utd status and the club have been linked to goalkeepers consistently.
One name who emerged amidst those is Kaua Santos, the United-linked goalkeeper who plays for Frankfurt.

Frankfurt value Santos highly and he signed a new contract in October 2024, but that didn’t stop the rumour mill from spinning.
The Brazilian goalkeeper has now broken his silence on the transfer speculation in an interview to Die Welt (via Sport Witness):-
He said: The people in charge in Frankfurt have shown enormous trust in me. They wanted to continue working with me before these rumours even surfaced.
“They still have a lot of faith in me here, so it was clear to me that I wanted to extend my contract. I want to establish myself as a goalkeeper, perform well, and achieve as much as possible.
“I’m not busy with anything else at the moment, because my entire focus is on Eintracht Frankfurt.”
Santos wasn’t an immediate Man Utd solution
Now that Santos seems to have committed his immediate future to Frankfurt, United’s short-term goals can pivot away from him.
At 22 and barely a regular at Frankfurt, bringing him in to challenge Andre Onana wouldn’t have been a wise move, especially for Frankfurt’s asking price.
Letting him develop for a season or two and become the German club’s No. 1 should be the way forward because the goalkeeper is not a position where United can take an expensive risk.
It is a sign of maturity from Santos too that he recognises this and wants to repay the faith Frankfurt showed in him.
The player will be better for it and if United remain interested in the next year or two, they can go back in for a more polished player.
