“The full-back is expected to be available for the start of pre-season.”

Martin was a part of the starting lineup for Spain U-21 along with Barcelona teammate Pablo Torre in their UEFA U-21 European Championship against Slovakia when he ended up with the fracture.

The left-back flew back to Barcelona immediately after and has now undergone the necessary medical procedure, as he targets a return in time for the start of pre-season on July 13.

Martin has been attracting interest from clubs in the Premier League this summer but remains firm about wanting to stay at Barça – his dream club.
