Everton are preparing for an important Premier League season as they embark on a new era, and fans are already excited.
The Toffees will move into the Hill Dickinson Stadium, while The Friedkin Group will also aim to rebuild the squad in their first summer transfer window as owners.
Everton will soon find out their league fixtures for their first campaign at their new stadium, with the Premier League set to announce the fixture list on Wednesday (18 June).
There is already talk of who Everton will face in the first competitive game at the new stadium, and the prospect of playing against Manchester United has caused a stir.

Everton v Man United mooted as first Premier League game
The Premier League season will begin on the weekend of Saturday 16 August, and the first game will be televised as a standalone fixture – potentially on the Friday, as has become the norm.

This could be the perfect opportunity for Everton to showcase their new stadium, and a high profile fixture could be ideal.
A match against Man United could be the best way for Everton to open their new stadium, in a high-profile game which will be remembered for years as the first at the new ground.

Everton will move into their new stadium
TalkSPORT broadcaster Hugh Woozencroft has now claimed that he will be “stunned” if this is not the opening fixture, as the perfect match-up for several reasons.
“If Everton v Man Utd isn’t on the opening weekend of the Premier League season, I’ll be stunned,” he posted via X (17 June).
Why Everton v Man United is the perfect opening fixture
There is a historic rivalry between Everton and Man United, which will also have the added storyline of David Moyes facing his old club.
Man United suffered a dismal season as they finished 15th and lost the Europa League final, much to the delight of Everton fans.
While there is a rivalry, it does not carry the same level of tension as Everton’s hatred of Liverpool does, meaning that they will be a high-profile opponent to open the stadium, but without the risk of potentially losing a Merseyside derby in such a significant game.
Man United’s struggles also means that Everton will fancy themselves to beat Ruben Amorim’s side, and make it a night to remember for the fans at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
