Father of Milos Kerkez has confirmed his son is set to join Liverpool, calling the transfer “practically done.”

Liverpool are planning to land Bournemouth’s rising star Milos Kerkez in a major summer signing. The 21-year-old full-back has impressed throughout the 2024-25 season. He is reportedly heading to Anfield after weeks of rumours. In addition, his father has now openly confirmed that the deal is nearly complete.

The Reds have agreed on what is likely to be a fee of $52m. They have already come to an agreement with the player on personal terms. He is a current teammate of Dominik Szoboszlai on the Hungary national team. He had a fantastic season with Bournemouth and scored two goals and assisted on five goals in all 38 PL games. His great form and attacking thrust, made him a key target for Arne Slot’s new look side.

With big changes underway at Liverpool, Kerkez looks set to fill a key role. Trent Alexander-Arnold has already left to sign for Real Madrid, and Andy Robertson is in the last year of his contract. Jeremie Frimpong has been signed to provide competition for the backline. Although, his role in Slot’s setup is still unclear.
In addition, Conor Bradley is likely to become the starting right-back. And Kerkez will be playing on the left. Adding fuel to the fire, His brother Marko recently posted a cryptic Instagram story that hinted the move was sealed.
Meanwhile, Bournemouth have already lined up the Hungarian’s replacement by signing Adrien Truffert from Rennes.
With all signs pointing toward a done deal, Kerkez’s switch to Anfield is just a matter of time. The left-back was once picked up by AC Milan legend Paolo Maldini. And now he looks ready for the big stage in a Liverpool shirt.
