The summer of 2025 will be an important one for Jack Grealish’s career as his time at Manchester City is set to draw to a close.
With Grealish deciding to leave Manchester City and the club choosing to let go of him as well after a largely underwhelming spell, the 29-year-old’s next move has to be one that proves to be a success.
Otherwise, not only will the former Aston Villa winger not be viewed as a top player by the masses but more importantly, his England career could be all over but over.
Napoli were targeting Grealish among several clubs, a move that would allow him to continue playing Champions League football.

Napoli eyeing Jadon Sancho should prompt Jack Grealish to rethink move
However, Jack Grealish might have to accept that a potential move to Naples might well be unlikely for him.
Firstly, Napoli will not pay Grealish’s wages despite Antonio Conte holding the player in high esteem as he earns a whopping £300,000-a-week at Manchester City.

But furthermore, journalist Gianluca Di Marzio has reported that the Serie A winners are looking to sign Jadon Sancho.
Sancho, much like Grealish plays in the same left-wing position and reportedly earns £275,000-a-week (Salary Sport), banking £25,000 less than the latter.
With the former Borussia Dortmund forward having a more productive campaign last season than the Manchester City attacker as well, Napoli could potentially prioritise his signing over the three-time Premier League winner’s.

As a result, a move to Napoli could be unrealistic for Grealish, who Pep Guardiola hinted could leave.
Where Jack Grealish sees as his last resort this summer
However, one issue that seems to be hurting the 29-year-old’s chances of leaving the Etihad Stadium is his wages.
Bayer Leverkusen cannot afford Grealish’s wages despite being keen on his signature and the same was the case with Napoli.
Grealish’s wages are a problem for Tottenham as well and unless he takes a pay cut, City will have to accept sending him out on loan.
But eventually, the Englishman will have to accept reduced wages.
The Saudi Pro League is Grealish’s last resort if none of his other possible moves are finalised.
