Fabrizio Romano rules out the possibility of a potential swap deal involving Darwin Nunez in the summer transfer market.
Darwin Nunez is reportedly on the verge of leaving the club after having a poor season at Anfield. His performances in the squad weren’t up to the mark, although Liverpool won the Premier League last season. He scored 7 goals in 47 matches across all competitions for the Reds last season.
Several clubs want to sign the Uruguayan player, and he is considering leaving this summer.. Arne Slot may not keep the striker for next season, as he is reportedly not part of his plans.
Serie A champions Napoli are very interested in the forward, and as Romano reported, talks have already taken place between the clubs.

What Fabrizio Romano said
Liverpool are interested in the former Man City forward and Atletico Madrid star Julian Alvarez. In that context, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed there is no possibility of a swap deal with the Spanish club involving Nunez.
Last month, many reports claimed Diego Simeone was interested in Darwin Nunez, but no contact has been made. There’s still a chance Atletico might go for the Liverpool forward, but there’s no chance of swapping him with the Argentine.
Alvarez might be the perfect candidate for Slot, as he played last season in a two-man frontline at the Metropolitano. Slot is reportedly considering a system with four midfielders and two up front for the upcoming season. If he decides to go with 4-4-2, Alvarez could be the ideal player, as his work rate and ability to close down space were exceptional last season.
