Report: Tottenham now eyeing move to sign 'phenomenal' £70m South American forward, club open…

Tottenham are keeping close tabs on Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho this summer, MailOnline has revealed.

The Lilywhites are said to be among a host of Premier League clubs monitoring the Argentine starlet's situation at Old Trafford closely, alongside Chelsea and Aston Villa.

Garnacho is expected to leave Man United this summer, and his priority is to remain in the Premier League, despite interest from Serie A champions Napoli.

United are aiming to make a significant profit on their academy product as they look to strengthen Ruben Amorim’s frontline with fresh signings, and are believed to have placed a £70m price tag on Garnacho.

Among Premier League clubs keen on the 20-year-old

According to MailOnline, United’s steep demands for Garnacho have already deterred Bayer Leverkusen, who had been exploring the possibility of reuniting the 20-year-old with their new boss Erik ten Hag.

However, a reunion was unlikely regardless, as Garnacho wants to stay in England and is open to offers from Premier League clubs.

The 'phenomenal' Argentina international is considered one of United’s most valuable sellable assets this summer, as he turns just 21 in July and still has three years remaining on his contract.

The Red Devils are also looking to part ways with fellow forwards Marcus Rashford, Antony and Jadon Sancho, with Amorim planning a major squad overhaul ahead of his first full season in charge.

Tottenham are now close to completing their first piece of summer business, as they look to finalise a permanent move for Bayern Munich winger Mathys Tel.

Spurs had an option to make the deal permanent for £45m, but have reportedly negotiated a reduced fee of around £30m with Bayern.
