Doubts remain over Manchester United’s goalkeeping department, but one lingering question has now been answered.
Much of the focus is on Manchester United’s attacking rebuild as Ruben Amorim targets more goals for next season.
Matheus Cunha has joined United and the likes of Marcus Rashford, Antony and Jadon Sancho appear to be available this summer.
United are looking at other areas, though, and signings between the sticks could be on the cards.
Andre Onana hasn’t slowed down rumours over his United future and Altay Bayindir is expected to leave this summer.
Add in Hubert Graczyk’s release and we could see United add a couple of goalkeepers to Amorim’s squad.

Tom Heaton decision finalised
One question mark has surrounded the future of veteran stopper Tom Heaton.
Reports in March suggested United had decided to let Heaton leave on a free transfer, with his contract up this summer.
More United News
Amorim was allegedly happy for Heaton to move on alongside the likes of Christian Eriksen and Victor Lindelof.
The 39-year-old rejoined United from Aston Villa in 2021 and has been serving as experienced, homegrown cover in the goalkeeping ranks.
United’s latest update on Heaton was that the veteran stopper was still in talks over a deal to extend his stay at Old Trafford.
Fabrizio Romano now claims that Heaton has signed his contract and will be staying at Old Trafford for another year.
Heaton first joined the United ranks from Wrexham as a teenager back in 2002.
Despite two spells with United, Heaton has only ever made three first-team appearances for the club.
Now approaching 40, it’s clear that Heaton’s veteran presence is valued and respected inside United, prompting Amorim to make a U-turn and hand him a new contract after all.

United may ditch homegrown goalkeeper chase
Heaton staying put means United need one fewer signing this summer, but may also impact plans to sign another homegrown stopper.
United have been linked with Freddie Woodman, who has left Preston North End at the end of his contract this summer.
Blackburn Rovers goalkeeper Aynsley Pears has also been eyed by United, with the two stoppers viewed as homegrown options.
Those rumours emerged when Heaton was expected to leave, but the experienced goalkeeper’s new contract means those EFL stoppers may no longer be wanted.
A second-choice goalkeeper is still on the radar, with United eyeing Nice’s Marcin Bulka, but EFL goalkeepers are unlikely to be eyed for that role.
