Barry, described as a 'cold-blooded killer' for Villarreal, is a 22-year-old striker currently competing at the U21 European Championships with France. Although still young, Barry has undoubtedly shown he's capable of making a strong impact at a top level, and the links make sense considering doubts over Jean-Philippe Mateta's future.
The French forward could cost around £35m, and the Eagles may be eyeing him as a replacement for Mateta after reports emerged that he could be tempted to head through the exit door if a Champions League club comes knocking.
