Man United plotting swap deal to land 34 G/A striker

Man United are keen to sign 34 G/A striker this summer. The player is also wanted by Chelsea and Liverpool. He will cost a very high transfer fee. Hence, the Red Devils are plotting a swap deal to land him.

Manchester United are desperate to sign a new striker this summer. They have been linked with multiple big names. Ruben Amorim is not impressed with current strikers. He has asked for clinical striker and the board is ready to back him.

Earlier, United wanted to sign Liam Delap from Ipswich Town. But, the 22 year old opted to join Chelsea. Then they wanted to sign Viktor Gyokeres. But, the Swedish striker is edging towards joining Arsenal. Hence, United have turned their attention to French striker.

The star in question here is Hugo Ekitike of Frankfurt. He is 22 years old and had a superb season recently. He scored 22 goals and picked 12 assists this season. As a result, he is wanted by Liverpool and Chelsea. But, his transfer fee is causing a problem in development of deal.

Frankfurt have made it clear that they will only listen to offers of €100 million. Due to Ekitike’s age, form and demand they are unwilling to lower their demands. However, Chelsea and Liverpool are still keen to sign him. On the other hand, United are plotting swap deal to land him.

Man United plotting swap deal for Hugo Ekitike

According to Caught Offside, United are plotting swap deal to land Ekitike. The report adds that they are ready to offer Rasmus Hojlund or Joshua Zirkzee in order to bring the transfer fee down. But, they have not made any formal offer as such for now.

Both Hojlund and Zirkzee are heavily linked with exit. They have both failed to impress at Old Trafford. Hence, a swap deal involving either of them and Ekitike can be counted as big success. But, the decision will be made on the basis of what Frankfurt think.
