Eagles' Pro Bowl Center Given Low Ranking

The Philadelphia Eagles have the best offensive line in football. The group's most popular members happen to be their All-Pro caliber tackles, Lane Johnson and Jordan Mailata.

They aren't the only elite players that the Eagles have, though.

Landon Dickerson is a top guard, and Cam Jurgens, the hand-picked replacement for All-Pro Jason Kelce, reached his first Pro Bowl in his opening season as the starting center.

Despite Jurgens' success last season, not every outlet will give him his flowers. Pro Football Focus ranked Jurgens the 13th-best center in the league.

"Jurgens has struggled at times as a pass protector, but his overall grading profile since becoming the Eagles' starting center shows an upward trend that should continue into 2025," Pro Football Focus' Mason Cameron said. "If you exclude Jurgens' playoff performance, during which he was battling an injury, his PFF overall grade (67.1) charted as a top-10 mark at the position."

PFF's rankings were pretty bizarre. Drew Dalman, Joe Tippmann, and Aaron Brewer are just some of the centers ranked ahead of Jurgens.

Incredibly, the Nebraska product was able to play at such a high level last year despite dealing with injuries. He was also a big part of the Eagles' being one of the best rushing teams in the league.

In reality, with how good the Eagles' offensive line is, there's no reason each player is not among the top at their specific role in the group.

Anything less only overlooks how good the offensive line is on this roster.
