Man Utd poised to sell player who’s been 'arguing' with Ruben Amorim behind the scenes

Amidst the potential transfer move, former Liverpool striker Dean Saunders has pointed the finger at a tactical row on the training pitch as the root cause of the youngster's rift with Amorim. While appearing on talkSPORT, Saunders didn't hold back, admonishing Garnacho's behaviour but commended him for his fiery approach to the game.

He said: "I like him as a player. He plays with his heart on his sleeve, and there's a load of them who don't at Man United. But from a good source, I heard he's arguing with the manager on the training pitch about tactics. How old is he, 20? Just get on with it."

Amorim is meanwhile busy reshaping his squad, having already signed Matheus Cunha for £62.5m. The revamp could continue, as Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford is tipped to be next through the door, despite Thomas Frank seemingly keen to snag the player for Tottenham Hotspur.

Saunders has warned United that the mental attitude of new signings is important in the transfer market, especially after Amorim's reported clashes with Garnacho and Marcus Rashford this term.

He said: "Man United have signed bad characters, and you've got to start signing good characters. Forget the talent. Obviously, you've got to have a certain amount to play at the level you're at, but they've got to concentrate on signing good characters, because they're shambolic at the moment."

Garnacho appears keen to remain in the UK if he does opt for a summer switch. The forward has captured the attention of Chelsea, who are reportedly eager to snap him up, along with Arsenal and Aston Villa.

La Liga's Atletico Madrid and Bundesliga outfit Bayer Leverkusen have also been linked since Erik ten Hag assumed managerial duties, while Napoli are expected to renew their interest this summer. Any sale of Garnacho would be financially advantageous for United, given his status as a homegrown talent.
