Milos Kerkez may already have reason to be disappointed at Liverpool after seeing rumour – opinion

Liverpool’s summer transfer window is shaping up to be incredibly exciting.

The Reds already have some exciting additions lined up as they look to add more quality to the squad.

Jeremie Frimpong is already through the door, Florian Wirtz is set to sign shortly, while Milos Kerkez is on his way to Liverpool too.

Kerkez is an incredibly exciting addition to this Liverpool team, but he may be slightly disappointed with his new team before he’s even arrived.

Indeed, Andy Robertson is being linked to Atletico Madrid, and that may be something that Kerkez isn’t too happy about.

Milos Kerkez may be disappointed by Andy Robertson exit rumours

There’s reason to believe that Milos Kerkez may be disappointed by the rumours surrounding Andy Robertson and Liverpool.

According to Lewis Steele, speaking on his YouTube channel, Kerkez was really excited to work with Robertson and learn from him at Anfield.

“I spoke to a Hungarian chap last week and he was saying how much Milos Kerkez is looking forward to learning from Andy Robertson, but now I might have to change that to say that Milos is looking forward to learning from Kostas Tsimikas,” Steele said.

Now, Kerkez could arrive at Liverpool without a proper mentor at left-back, and at the age of just 22, that is a precarious position to be in.

Indeed, any young new arrival at a massive club needs a player to help take them under their wing, and Robertson could’ve been perfect for Kerkez in that regard.

Milos Kerkez already has a good friend at Liverpool

Kerkez may be set to lose a key mentor at Liverpool in the shape of Robertson, but he should still find it easy enough to settle in at Anfield.

Yes, Kerkez already has a close friend at Liverpool in the shape of Dominik Szoboszlai.

Kerkez and Szoboszlai know one another very well from international duty, and, speaking to Nemzeti Sport earlier this year, Szoboszlai named Kerkez as his best friend in football.

“I would choose Bournemouth’s left-back, Milos Kerkez. He looks like me, only a little crazier than me. But he still has time to grow up,” Szoboszlai said.

Kerkez will have that support system in place at Liverpool from day one, and while it may be disappointing for him to see Robertson linked away, there’s still plenty of reason for him to be excited about a move to Liverpool.
