Walker admired by Moyes but Everton move not imminent

Contrary to reports made earlier today, Manchester City and England right back Kyle Walker is not expected to join Everton imminently, despite concrete interest from the Toffees.

According to reports made by The Echo, a move for Walker is not currently a priority for the Toffees despite David Moyes’ desire to sign a right back.

The 35 year old has fallen down the pecking order at Manchester City and will leave the Etihad this summer following a 6 month loan at AC Milan.

A £4.2 million option to buy clause was not exercised by the Italian giants, who have since turned their attention elsewhere.

Walker will not find himself short of options this summer, with Barcelona and a number of Saudi clubs all reportedly holding interest.

He will leave Manchester City having won 18 titles, the joint-second most for any player in the club’s history.
