Surprise club among three teams that can help Man City's Jack Grealish rediscover his old form

Manchester City’s Jack Grealish is currently on the lookout for a new club.

Grealish was left out of Man City’s squad for the FIFA Club World Cup, and that was the biggest indication to the 29-year-old that his time at the Etihad Stadium is up after the winger experienced a very tough 2024/25 season in Manchester.

It was recently reported that Grealish has accepted that his Man City career is over, as several clubs have shown an interest in the Englishman.

Tottenham were among the interested parties in the Man City star; however, the Telegraph reported on Monday that Spurs will not enter the race for the former Aston Villa star.

This has shortened the winger’s options, and ahead of the 2025/26 campaign getting underway, here are three clubs that could bring the best out of Grealish.

Everton

Don Hutchison stated last week that Everton would be a great move for Grealish this summer, as working with David Moyes would help the winger rediscover his love for the game.

The Scottish coach would put an arm around the 29-year-old, play him in his favourite position regularly, and let him be free to create chances for the Toffees.

It is hard to disagree with the ESPN pundit, as this is exactly what Grealish needs, as the former Aston Villa star struggled as part of a system at Man City. There would also be less pressure on the Englishman, as he would not be playing for his boyhood club or playing in a team expected to win every trophy.

Everton would be the best club for the 29-year-old to join next summer; however, it remains to be seen if the Toffees can get it done as it would have to be a loan deal with City paying the majority of the player’s £300,000-a-week wages.

Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace have emerged as one of the most exciting teams in the Premier League ever since the arrival of Oliver Glasner, and the Eagles got their reward last season by beating Man City in the FA Cup final.

One star who played a key role in that was Eberechi Eze, and as a result, several clubs are keeping an eye on the midfielder’s situation at Selhurst Park.

Should the England international leave Palace, Grealish would be a great replacement for the vacant number 10 role in Glasner’s team, with the 29-year-old’s ability to run at players suiting the Eagles’ counter-attacking style of play against the bigger teams in the Premier League.

A move to South London would be a surprise, as many things need to happen for it to get over the line, but if it can be done, Glasner would be the perfect coach to help Grealish rediscover his love for football.

Napoli

Gary Neville has encouraged Grealish to move abroad and keep out of the English media’s sights ahead of the 2025/26 season, and Napoli are interested in offering the Man City star that opportunity.

However, the Italian club’s situation is similar to many others in the race for the winger, as they are unwilling to match the player’s £300,000-a-week wages, with Man City needing to pay at least half.

If it can get done, a switch to Napoli would benefit Grealish massively as he would get to work with a great tactician in Antonio Conte, get to experience something new, and Kevin De Bruyne has moved to the Italian champions, a player the winger was close with at Man City.

The slower pace of Serie A would also suit the Englishman, as the winger’s ability to speed up the game with his ball carries, which he often showed at Aston Villa, could be a huge difference-maker for Napoli over the rest of the competition in Italy.
