Premier League striker dreams of playing for Liverpool as transfer request made

Alexander Isak might be pulling on a black-and-white shirt now, but deep down, it seems he’s dreaming of red.

The Newcastle United forward is believed to have set his sights on a move to Liverpool, with reports suggesting he has already informed his agent of his desire to join the Reds.

Isak, who has been one of the Premier League’s most consistent strikers, now reportedly wants to play alongside Mohamed Salah and soon-to-be Liverpool star Florian Wirtz.

According to indykaila News, it’s a personal dream for the Swedish striker — and Liverpool are ready to act, but only if he pushes for a transfer request to Newcastle.

Liverpool have made signing a top striker a key part of their summer plans under boss Arne Slot. With a deal for Wirtz nearly done, attention now turns to finding someone to lead the line.

And while names like Hugo Ekitike and Victor Osimhen have been mentioned, it’s clear Isak tops the list.

Newcastle stance on Alexander Isak

Newcastle boss Eddie Howe is keen to keep Isak and build his team around him. The striker, capped over 50 times by Sweden, has not yet forced a move, and he’s said to be happy at the club — for now.

But Liverpool’s interest could turn his head, especially with the chance to play and compete for major honours across all competitions.

BBC reporter Sami Mokbel recently noted, “It is my information that Isak would be intrigued by the prospect of joining say Liverpool or Arsenal.”

However, Mokbel added that any deal would come with a huge price tag and only on Newcastle’s terms.

If Isak doesn’t sign a new contract by next summer, things could shift quickly. With just two years left on his deal by then, Newcastle might find it harder to resist a massive offer.
