Chelsea ready to cash-in on in-form keeper

The star in question here is Djordje Petrovic. He is 25 year old Serbian keeper who was on loan at Strasbourg for the whole 2024/25 season. Petrovic was one of the best keepers in Ligue 1 and has impressed everyone. But, it seems that Enzo Maresca is not impressed.

Petrovic has been dropped from the Club World Cup squad. In addition, the Blues are planning to sign a new keeper instead. They are heavily linked with Mike Maignan. This means Petrovic surely has no future at Stamford Bridge. The player is aware of this situation and hence is keen to leave this summer.

According to The Athletic, Chelsea now have gentlemen’s agreement with Petrovic. They will allow him to leave if any club comes up with £25 million offer. As of now, multiple French clubs are showing interest. But if no club makes any move, the Serbian can be seen joining Strasbourg one again as it is Chelsea’s sister club.
