Manchester United are showing interest in a summer move for promising Lyon winger Malick Fofana, L’Equipe journalist Hugo Guillemet has reported.
The Red Devils are believed to be among a host of Premier League clubs keeping close tabs on the Belgium international, along with Liverpool, Chelsea and Nottingham Forest.
Fofana has reportedly received enquiries from both Liverpool and Chelsea in recent days, while Man United are yet to step up their interest amid their ongoing pursuit of Bryan Mbeumo.
United are currently in negotiations with Brentford over a deal for the Cameroonian forward, who is said to be prioritising a move to Old Trafford ahead of other options.

According to L’Equipe, Lyon are demanding in excess of €50m (£42m) for Fofana this summer but are in no rush to part ways with the 20-year-old winger, having already sold Rayan Cherki to Manchester City for £34m earlier this month.
Les Gones only signed Fofana - described as a 'wonderkid' and 'Europe's next big winger' by Breaking the Lines - last year on a four-year deal from Belgian club Gent and have seen some stellar performances from the Aalst-born attacker in Ligue 1.
Fofana impressed in his debut season in France, scoring 11 goals and providing six assists in 41 appearances across all competitions, with eight of those contributions coming in the Europa League.
The 20-year-old also registered an assist in Lyon’s 5-4 quarter-final second-leg loss against Man United in April and played 56 minutes against Ruben Amorim’s side.
Man United announced Matheus Cunha as their first summer arrival earlier this month and remain focused on bringing in further attacking reinforcements.
The Red Devils are also eyeing a new striker alongside Mbeumo and have recently emerged as potential suitors for Eintracht Frankfurt starlet Hugo Ekitike.
