Texas has a chance to win a national title for the first time since the 2005 season. Manning is looking to be in the history books for this football program along with guys like Vince Young. There is no doubt that Manning is going to be in the Heisman Trophy conversation during the 2025 NFL season. Will he be one of the top picks in the 2026 NFL Draft?
CBS Sports Ranks Texas Longhorns Quarterback Arch Manning Number One In 2026 NFL Draft Prospects

CBS Sports writer Josh Edwards created his top 50 prospects for the upcoming 2026 NFL Draft. He thinks that Manning is number one on the list. Edwards said,
“The grandson of former Saints quarterback Archie Manning and nephew of Peyton and Eli Manning. All three were named to an NFL Pro Bowl at quarterback.”
Manning is 6’4″ and weighs 225 lbs. During the 2024 college football season with Texas, he completed 67.8% of his passes for 939 yards, nine touchdowns, and two interceptions. He also had a couple of rushing touchdowns during the 2024 college football season as well. There is no doubt that he is going to put up bigger numbers for the Longhorns for the 2025 college football season.
If Texas is going to win a national title, he is going to have to play at a Heisman Trophy level. If he wins a Heisman Trophy and wins it all, there is a solid chance that he could declare for the 2026 NFL Draft despite only being a one-year starter potentially for this football program. However, there is a chance that Manning could still be a two-year starter for this football program and go in the 2027 NFL Draft instead.
