After the Atlanta Falcons signed the UFL’s leading rusher, Jashaun Corbin, the team made room by releasing former Alabama running back Jase McClellan.
The team announced on Tuesday that McClellan had been the roster casualty following one season with Atlanta. After being selected in the sixth round, McClellan appeared in just two games in 2024 and tallied five carries for 17 yards on the year all of which came during a 34-14 loss to the Seattle Seahawks.
McClellan would later be put on injured reserve in early December due to a knee injury.
Prior to his time in the pros, McClellan turned in a solid season at Alabama rushing for 890 yards and eight touchdowns during his final season, all while battling a foot injury.
McClellan will now be tasked with finding his next NFL home.
