West Ham planning to sell Mohammed Kudus, Tomas Soucek and Lucas Paqueta

TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey has confirmed West Ham have “financial issues” and the club “need to get players out”.

Mohammed Kudus is set to be the main sale, while Tomas Soucek is also expected to leave alongside Lucas Paqueta.

“Having spoken to the club, the massive problem with West Ham is there’s financial issues and the club need to sell,” Bailey exclusively told TBR Football.

“They need to get players out. Mohammed Kudus is going to be that main sale. We expect Tomas Soucek to go as well.

“Lucas Paqueta will find out within two weeks about his court case, but we’re fully expecting him to be exonerated or at the very least he’ll be able to play Premier League football next season, hence he’ll be able to move.

“They’re the really big three sales and that really is hampering what they want to do in the transfer market.”

West Ham ‘never really that serious’ with Angel Gomes approach

With regard to Gomes, the Hammers’ approach was “never really that serious”.

TBR Football exclusively revealed West Ham’s first approach for Gomes came in January, which was one of the largest overall deals they have put to a player.

However, by March, the Hammers had backed off from their bid to land Gomes, who is now set to join French rivals Marseille.

Bailey added: “They did make a play for Angel Gomes but it was never really that serious.

“They knew they were getting nowhere near his asking price and he didn’t really want to go there anyway.

“But in terms of transfer targets, they’ve got a few.”
