LA Rams host youth football clinic on Maui

WAILUKU (HawaiiNewsNow) - As the Los Angeles Rams kick off their long-awaited minicamp on Maui, they’re also giving back to the community.

[Following their first practice at War Memorial Stadium in Wailuku](https://www.hawaiinewsnow.com/2025/06/17/it-feels-like-home-la-rams-open-minicamp-mauis-war-memorial-stadium/), the pros held a keiki camp for girls flag football and boys tackle Tuesday.

The NFL veterans coached hundreds of young athletes from 20 local high schools.

“It was really fun,” said flag football player Naiara Bal. “I love the competition. I love how all these girls are coming out to compete and stuff.”

Fellow player Kaylyn Banaag said, “Just meeting other people and gathering with all the schools and playing together was really nice.”

Prior to the clinic, the team announced a special donation for Lahainaluna High School.

The team designed professional-grade locker rooms for the school’s student-athletes featuring integrated seating and storage, and graphics that honor Lahaina.

The Rams unveiled the designs in partnership with Hollman Lockers and the design firm Forty Nine Degrees.

Andrew Whitworth, former Rams offensive lineman, said, “We want these young people to be inspired every time they walk into that locker room, that they’re special, that they can accomplish anything in the world that they possibly ever want to, and more importantly, that we’re on their team and we want that for them as well.”

The lockers are expected to be completed by the end of July so students can use them by the new school year.
