Liverpool are expected to finalise a deal for Bournemouth defender Milos Kerkez next week, journalist Ben Jacobs has revealed.
The Premier League winners are now closing in on their second full-back signing of the summer, with Kerkez set to follow former Bayer Leverkusen ace Jeremie Frimpong to Anfield.
There are reportedly only minor details left to be clarified before the Hungarian’s move becomes official, with the clubs now close to reaching an agreement on a £40m deal.
Liverpool are also expected to complete a move for attacking midfielder Florian Wirtz in the coming days, after agreeing a club-record £116m package for the Germany international last week.

Jacobs, writing on X, revealed that Kerkez could become a Liverpool player next week, following a breakthrough in talks over a £40m deal for the 21-year-old defender:
Kerkez, who joined Bournemouth from AZ in the summer of 2023, has impressed during his two seasons on the Dorset coast, with some even labelling the Hungarian as ‘one of Europe’s best players’.
The ‘extremely quick’ full-back is expected to arrive at Anfield as a long-term replacement for Andy Robertson, who has just over a year left on his contract and has recently emerged as a top transfer target for Atletico Madrid.
Liverpool are set to continue their summer spree after the expected arrivals of Wirtz and Kerkez, with a new striker also on the agenda to potentially replace Darwin Nunez.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the Reds are looking at Eintracht Frankfurt sensation Hugo Ekitike as a possible solution up front, with Nunez now attracting interest from Napoli and several clubs across Europe and Saudi Arabia.
