A new video angle has emerged that shows the attack some Connecticut Sun players made on Caitlin Clark during the Indiana Fever’s 88-71 win at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Ind., on Tuesday night.
Clark led her Fever with 20 points, but the game got out of hand quickly. In the second quarter, Clark was talking with Sun guard Jacy Sheldon and gave her a shove in the chest. Then in the third quarter, there was another incident between them, and Clark was pushed to the ground by Marina Mabrey.
Sheldon was given a flagrant foul for her contact with Clark, while Mabrey was called for a technical foul. Clark and Sun center Tina Charles were given double technical fouls for the incident.
A new angle of the incident has emerged, and it makes things look much worse. From the alternate angle, you can see Sheldon pop Clark in the face. Then, rather than back off, Sheldon bumps right into Clark. Charles and Mabrey then quickly converge on Clark, and Mabrey checks Clark to the ground.

That angle sure shows things in a different light and makes it clear how much the Sun were all over Clark.
In the final minute of the game, Fever veteran Sophie Cunningham took down Sheldon. Cunningham, Sheldon and Sun guard Lindsay Allen all ended up ejected.
There have been widespread complaints going back to last year that the WNBA allows Clark to get bullied and tossed around. This video seems to support that notion.
