David Moyes could look to capitalise on Kyle Walker’s deteriorating situation at Manchester City.
The six-time Premier League winner has fallen out of favour with Pep Guardiola, spending the second half of last season on loan at AC Milan.
Walker is no longer part of City’s project and looks set for a permanent move away from the Etihad Stadium despite having one year remaining on his current contract in Manchester.
Moyes is looking for a right-sided defender to replace the recently departed Ashley Young and could be in line to benefit from the latest developments surrounding Walker.

Everton make approach for Walker
It has been widely reported that talks are underway between Everton and Walker to bring the 35-year-old to Merseyside.
MORE TOFFEES STORIES
The England international has been on Moyes’ radar for a while, with the Toffees now thought to be speaking to his representatives, despite no formal approach being made to City as of yet.

The former Tottenham player would surely command high wages, but ex-Goodison scout Bryan King – speaking exclusively to Goodison News – doesn’t think this will be a problem.
“Everton will offer Walker big money, that’s for sure,” King said.
“He would be an interesting signing for Everton, and I’m sure the supporters would be very delighted with this addition. He’s an experienced player who has struggled in the last year.
“He needed a move to Italy, which didn’t seem to help too much. However, a fresh start with Everton could help. I know Moyes looked at Walker when he was at Sheffield United.”

Walker is a stop-gap for Moyes
Walker’s uninspiring performances for the Three Lions demonstrate that the full-back is undoubtedly suffering a natural decline. However, he would still offer key attributes for Moyes in the short term.
His experience and winning mentality would help the Scotsman reshape Everton in his image, while his physical attributes are still outstanding and could be a useful tool for the Toffees if his minutes are appropriately managed.
It would also allow The Friedkin Group to focus the bulk of their transfer budget on midfield players like Fred without having to worry about the right-back position this summer.
