Liverpool are likely to sell a fair few of their first-team members this summer, especially with the number of players they want to bring in.
Arne Slot’s men are undergoing a summer of change after having a fairly quiet transfer window last time around.
Jeremie Frimpong has already been brought in, and with Florian Wirtz’s move now on the cusp of completion, that’s already two massive names that have been added to the Anfield outfit’s ranks.
However, with Liverpool spending all this money on improving their team, it’s clear that some sales will have to be made so that the Reds don’t overspend.

This is why numerous players from Liverpool’s ranks have already been linked with moves away.
Aston Villa are leading the chase to sign Harvey Elliott from Liverpool
As per a report from the Sunday Mirror via Yahoo Sports, Aston Villa are now the ‘favourites’ to sign Harvey Elliott, with three other Premier League clubs also interested in acquiring his services.
Elliott’s situation of not wanting to waste his career on the Liverpool bench has ‘alerted’ Newcastle, Nottingham Forest and Wolves about his future, with all three clubs also ‘keen’ on adding him to their ranks.
The report adds that a deal could be worth around £30million with some add-ons likely to be on top of that.

Indeed, Elliott was one of Jurgen Klopp’s star boys, but with Dominik Szoboszlai and Wirtz occupying the position he plays next season, it’s hard to see how he’d get any playing time.
And, obviously, not playing games is far from ideal for any player.
However, the fact that Elliott still has plenty of room to develop means that he can’t just stall his career on the chance that he could get the occasional opportunity for Liverpool here and there, hence why a move makes sense.

Harvey Elliott should join one of the four clubs interested in his transfer
There’s no denying that Elliott is an impressive talent, with Ian Wright even labelling the youngster as “fantastic” back in 2022.
However, with the amount of talent that Slot has at his disposal at the moment, it feels unfair to keep the former Fulham man at the club, especially with Wirtz also about to come through the Anfield doors.
Elliott is more than capable of playing in the Premier League and for one of the aforementioned teams, he’d no doubt be an invaluable asset.
Villa would be a particularly good move for the midfielder as they’ve just lost Marco Asensio after his loan deal expired.

The Spaniard played on the right wing as well as in attacking midfield for the Villans, which are the exact two positions Elliott can play in.
Indeed, it’s still early days in the window, but for a fee worth around £30million, teams could do much worse than signing a proven Premier League player who has a keen eye for goal.
