It was a bittersweet 2024/25 season for Nottingham Forest. For so long during the most recent Premier League campaign they defied the odds to look nailed on for a place in next season's Champions League.
As it is, a loss of form during the run-in meant they ultimately finished seventh, but just one point outside the Champions League places. The flip side is that Nuno Espirito Santo guided the Reds to a place in the Europa Conference League, took them to the semi-finals of the FA Cup and made them a force in the top-flight again after flirting with relegation last term.
But the future is almost with us. The fixtures for the 2025/26 season are about to be realised. The big question is whether Nuno can continue with his remarkable transformation at the City Ground.
With plenty of business to be done in the summer transfer window, it promises to be a real rollercoaster ride, but at least Forest do not have the spending fears haunting several of their top-flight rivals.
