Gyokeres thinks he’ll be playing in England next season, and he’ll likely be playing for either Arsenal or United.
If that is indeed the case, he’ll likely make his Premier League debut against one of the clubs he’s decided to snub.
If he rejects Manchester United for Arsenal, he’ll have a frosty reception at Old Trafford and an uncomfortable reunion with Ruben Amorim.
Meanwhile, if he rejects Arsenal for Manchester United, Gyokeres will have a very tough first game against a team who he potentially could’ve signed for.
Gyokeres has a verbal agreement with Arsenal according to some, so he may well be headed to Old Trafford as an opposition player.
