Liverpool will raise the curtain on the 2025/26 Premier League season by hosting Bournemouth at Anfield on Friday August 15. The Sky Sports-televised showdown comes as part of a tricky start to the season for the defending champions. Milos Kerkez, expected to join from Bournemouth imminently for £40million, will come face-to-face with his previous club on the first weekend.
After that, the Reds face two teams that both qualified for the Champions League last season - Newcastle away and Arsenal at home - before a trip to Scott Parker's newly-promoted Burnley. Liverpool's first four Anfield fixtures of the campaign see them face Bournemouth, Arsenal, Everton and Manchester United, all before the end of October. Tricky trips to Crystal Palace and Chelsea are also thrown into their first 10.
The festive period sees Liverpool face Tottenham in their final game before Christmas, just like last season when Slot's side won 6-3 in north London. They will not play on Boxing Day but instead on December 27, when they host Wolves.
After ending 2025 at home to top-flight newcomers Leeds United, a trip to Craven Cottage to take on Fulham awaits the 20-time English champions in their first fixture of 2026. Mohamed Salah will be absent from December 21, potentially until January 18, for the Africa Cup of Nations.
That means the Egyptian, the highest goalscorer and assist provider in the Premier League last season, provisionally stands to miss: Tottenham (A), Wolves (H), Leeds (H), Fulham (A), Arsenal (A), Burnley (H).
Liverpool face another difficult run-in this season which includes trips to bitter rivals Everton, at their new Hill Dickinson Stadium, and Man United in April and May. Chelsea visit Anfield in Liverpool's penultimate home match of the season. Brentford will be the visitors on the final day when Slot and co. will be hoping to lift aloft the league trophy again.
The Dutchman did the double over Pep Guardiola's Manchester City in his debut campaign but City are expected to come back strong this time. The Merseyside giants first face their title rivals at the Etihad on November 11 and bring them to Anfield on February 2.
