Liverpool will be looking to retain their Premier League title next season and perhaps go that little bit further in the other competitions.
The Anfield outfit are already on the cusp of making a fair few changes to their ranks, with Jeremie Frimpong the first of many to arrive.
Florian Wirtz is also almost a Liverpool player, with the 22-year-old set to break the Reds’ club-record fee for a player.

However, it’s neither of these two who could end up being Liverpool’s secret weapon for their opening game of the season.
Milos Kerkez could give Liverpool inside knowledge on Bournemouth
The Premier League’s fixtures for the 2025-26 season have finally been announced, with Liverpool finding out that Bournemouth will be their first opponents in the top flight.
Andoni Iraola’s men are coming off the back of a rather impressive campaign last time around, with a lot of their players outperforming expectations.
However, with Milos Kerkez set to join Liverpool and players such as Dean Huijsen no longer being Bournemouth players, the 2025-26 campaign could be one of change for Iraola’s men.
And, with Kerkez likely to join up with his new teammates over the next couple of weeks, it’ll give the Hungary international plenty of time to explain Bournemouth’s tactics to his new Liverpool teammates.

Why the 2025-26 season could be another impressive one for Arne Slot’s Liverpool

Instead, that has been far from the case with Slot managing to turn his team into one of the most dominant in the league.

And, with the arrivals of players such as Kerkez and Wirtz, the 2025-26 campaign feels like it can only end up being better for Liverpool.
Of course, this is all just ifs, buts and maybes at the moment, but on paper, the 2025-26 season could be one of dominance for Liverpool once again, especially if they can get inside knowledge from the players they sign.
