Liverpool face a tough start and run-in to the Premier League 2025/26 season.

The champions kick off the new season in the opening game as they host Bournemouth on Friday, August 15, in the 8pm slot. All eyes will be on Anfield as the likes of Jeremie Frimpong, Florian Wirtz and Milos Kerkez could also make their Liverpool debuts.

However, Arne Slot’s side will follow that up with the task of heading to Newcastle in the Magpies’ first home game of the new campaign. A return to Anfield follows to host Arsenal in an early test of both teams’ title aspirations.

Liverpool then travel to Burnley following the September international break before the Merseyside Derby at Anfield the following week. Two away trips to London in the shape of Crystal Palace and Chelsea come next.

It’s then another derby day as Manchester United head to Anfield on October 18 before the Reds take on Brentford and Aston Villa ahead of a trip to the Etihad to face Manchester City on November 8.

Should Liverpool still harbour hopes of retaining the title once again, they will have to overcome a tough run-in with a first Premier League trip to Everton’s new Hill Dickinson Stadium on April 18.

Crystal Palace then go to Anfield before the Reds head to Old Trafford on May 2.

The final run-in sees Liverpool host Chelsea in the third to last game of the campaign before a trip to Aston Villa and a home clash against Brentford rounds the season off on Sunday, May 24.

However, Slot can breathe a sigh of relief with a desirable run over the busy New Year period, as they host Wolves at home after Christmas before welcoming Leeds and travelling to Fulham either side of New Year’s Day.
